Our Farm
We are a family owned and operated farm located in Millingport, NC about 38 miles northeast of Charlotte in Stanly County.
We are an all-natural farm, we use no harmful chemicals in order to provide the highest quality produce to keep you and your family healthy and happy.
Carlea Farms is the product of a lot of hardwork by Carl, Leah, Chet & Jennie Wagner and a lot of love and support from Lara & Sam Sarris. Carlea farms began many years ago as a hobby and has grown into a thriving, self-sustaining farm with the single goal of providing locally-grown, all-natural, high-quality produce for local families.
We began selling at the Matthews Farmer's Market several years ago because we loved the fact that all of the Market's produce must be locally grown. Everything we sell is hand picked within days of going to market or into a CSA bag to ensure the ultimate freshness.
In the spring of 2009 we launched our Community Supported Agriculture program serving Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Information on our 2010 CSA can be found above. Eat locally!
We have expanded to selling pasture-raised chicken eggs laid daily here on the farm by our Leg-Horn Chickens. We also raise turkeys on pasture for Thanksgiving each year.
